NORMAL, IL – Fire sprinklers contained a fire in car that was on an assembly line at the Rivian Electric Vehicle Production Plant. The fire was contained to a single car until firefighters arrived. No injuries were reported.“The sprinkler system did exactly what it was supposed to do – put water on the fire quickly and prevent it from spreading until the fire department arrived to do its job,” said Matt Swaney, public information officer, Normal Fire Department.
