ROCKFORD, IL – A fire sprinkler stopped a kitchen fire from spreading in a fourth floor unit of a five-story senior living center. When fire crews arrived, they saw smoke rolling out of the fourth floor unit and the sprinkler controlling the fire.
Residents on the fourth floor were moved to lower floors, but there were no other evacuations. No injuries were reported.
