DES PLAINES, IL – A single fire sprinkler prevented a fire from spreading on the second floor of a manufacturing facility. Crews found a sprinkler activated over buckets of sodium chlorite used in the plant. One employee was transported to the hospital with minor burns from the chemical fire. No other injuries were reported.
