SPRINGFIELD, IL – Fire sprinklers stopped an unattended cooking fire from spreading in a unit on the 7th floor of a high-rise building. When fire crews arrived, they were able to extinguish the remaining fire. One person was treated on the scene for smoke inhalation and no further assessment was needed. No other injuries were reported.
