CHAMPAIGN, IL – A single fire sprinkler extinguished a grease cooking fire at the Hunters Pond Run Apartments. The apartment unit is in the middle of apartments built with lightweight construction material with minimal fire-stopping. The fire sprinkler kept the fire from spreading to other units.
