STREAMWOOD, IL – Fire sprinklers extinguished a fire at an industrial business in Streamwood. A chemical reaction caused the fire. Fire crews found the fire doors in the affected room contained the fire while sprinklers extinguished it. All employees safely evacuated. No injuries were reported.

NAPERVILLE, IL – Fire sprinklers stopped a fire from spreading in a three story, wood-framed, apartment building. When crews arrived, they found a fire in a closet in a second-floor unit. The sprinkler controlled the fire until firefighters extinguished the remaining fire. One adult and two children safely escaped, No injuries were reported.

ROUND LAKE, IL – Fire sprinklers stopped a fire from spreading in a strip mall. Crews arrived to find a sprinkler controlled a fire that started in a massage parlor and prevented the fire from spreading to the adjoining restaurant.  Firefighters extinguished the remaining fire. No injuries were reported.

EAST ST. LOUIS, IL – Fire sprinklers stopped a fire that started outside of East St. Louis Senior High School, from spreading into the building. Classes and the graduation ceremony were not cancelled. No injuries were reported.

ALTON, IL – Fire sprinklers extinguished a couch fire inside an unoccupied hotel room at the Best Western Premier hotel. More than 100 guest had to be evacuated including a group who gathered for a 10-year-old’s birthday pool party. All guests were allowed back into the hotel after crews determined it was safe. No injuries were reported.
